Over the years, this facility, students and staff, have been a tremendous help to wildlife rehabilitation in eastern NC. thru their support of Eastern Wildlife Center INC. They have earned a permanent place on our web site .
Mark, takes answers on questions about owls, and their ability to hunt at night. The words Diurnal, and Nocturnal were known by these 2nd graders, and they were very impressive on disscussions of species.
Nimette, taking question after question on mammals, birds, raptors, amphibians, and yes Tigers.
Due to a person with no life this picture has been deleted per usfws request.
Kay, with a very imformative talk on what it takes ,money wise, to rehabilitate animals and the special things needed. EWC has special thanks to her as a teacher and a rehabber. She will be leaving us for Big Sky country when she retires next year. We will not let her down as we continue her educational presentations.
We were presented a check for the amount of $912.30 from a pumpkin bake sale these children did for EWC. We cannot express enough praise for these exceptional children and staff, that thru the years have contributed over $3000.00 to EWC and its efforts. They directly have helped injured and orphaned wildlife be returned to the wild in eastern NC, and each one can be very proud of making a difference in the world they live in.
